In my head John and Sherry are my brother and sister from another mother. I seriously, want to be a great diy-er (Is that a word? It is? I thought so.) like them. I want friends and family to walk in my house and say " WOW! Where did you get that awsome (insert AWSOME object here)?" And I will just humbly smile a say, " O, I just picked that up off the side of the road and made it look AWSOME on my spare time."
But I'm not that person. I can think of tons of cool things to do with vintage pieces I find, but to execute it is a different story for me. But since Heather and I have this blog about vintage clothes and accessories, I thought why not attempt to become the person I know I can!
About 2 or 3 years ago, I went to Walnut, Iowa with some friends to go antique shopping. I found some cool earrings that I LOVE and wear ALOT. But the one thing that caught my eye the most were these beautiful theater seats. They were a blonde wood with a red star on the back of the seat. I wanted them so bad. It only cost $65 for the set of three chairs. I didn't buy them cause I needed to convince my husband that we needed them. He wasn't picking up what I was throwing down.
A year later he finally agreed that I could get them. Ofcourse, when I went to Walnut again, they were gone. But I found another set.
These are a set of Heywood-Wakefield auditorium seats. Right now, they are not the prettiest they could be. But since I'm such a good diy-er (saying it makes it real, right?), I'm going to make this my very first piece of furniture that I attempt to make AWSOME. I have big plans for these babies. Hopefully they turn out the way they are in my head. I will be posting lots of updates for you soon!

Blogging Aint So Easy To Do...
We are quickly finding out that although are intentions are VERY HIGH , we don't exactly know how to go about it. So, we decided that we were just going to dive in. If we mess up, we'll learn from it. We promise not to post things only once a month. :)
The same goes for our Etsy Shop. We have been working hard to list item frequently. What we've learned is that taking pictures of clothes is not as easy as we thought either. But we're snapping away, trying our best to improve...
Please join us on our journey! We know vintage and we know fashion. How to project that online to you is another story. Our vision is that we can show you how fresh vintage fashion can look. Also, we'd love to feature local designers and shops here in Omaha, Nebraska. That way we can show some love to them and help you to see that Omaha is filled with fashion, fun, and fabulous-ness. (Ok, that last word was a bit of a stretch but you get our drift!)
If you're reading this, follow our blog and we'll keep you interested with our awesome clothes, fun vintage finds, and hopefully, local fashion!
